  • Introduction

Digital holographic and speckle interferometry which are usually based on laser illumination , are an optical measurement techniques that combines holographic and speckle interferometry with electronic detection and processing.

They are widely used in investigation of a wide range of physical parameters, such as displacements, strain, vibration analyses, flow visualization, non-destructive testing, and surface profile of engineering structures. They can also be used to detect optical path length variations in transparent media, and generate contours representing the form of the surface.

Although the techniques are relatively new, they have stimulated a large volume of fundamental and applied research; the results of this work are of considerable importance to a wide range of scientist and engineers.

This proposed special issue focuses on new developments and techniques of digital holographic and speckle interferometry as well as their applications to various engineering problems, industrial fields and structures.

  • Guidelines for Submission

Manuscripts can be submitted until the expiry of the deadline. Submissions must be previously unpublished and may not be under consideration elsewhere.

Papers should be formatted according to the guidelines for authors (see: http://www.opticsphotonics.org/submission). By submitting your manuscripts to the special issue, you are acknowledging that you accept the rules established for publication of manuscripts, including agreement to pay the Article Processing Charges for the manuscripts. Manuscripts should be submitted electronically through the online manuscript submission system at http://www.sciencepublishinggroup.com/login. All papers will be peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal and will be listed together on the special issue website.
